Letter 48 - Happy Eleven Month Mission Anniversary and so much Merry Christmas!

 Dear family and friends,

Tomorrow is the 11 month anniversary of our mission! Which means we have only 1 year left! Time is really flying. We really cannot believe is has been nearly a year since we left to serve! There are not nearly as many pictures this week as last time. You can all breathe a sigh of relief and scroll on for this past week's adventures.

As always we love and miss you and appreciate your kind words, emails, messages, and even Christmas Cards! Woohoo!

Love,

Elder and Sister Brady (mom and dad, grandma and grandpa, John and Shelly, and so on)

Saturday afternoon at the movies! Wicked Part 2!
We love that Senior Missionaries can go to the movies - so occasionally we do!
We splurged and got the reclining loveseat for the movie!
And the giant Popcorn is back! Yay!

This has been the most lovely time of year in Thailand!
The skies are blue and the weather is not too hot!
On our way to central world for the movie! (These pictures are a little out of order.)
Christmas tree outside of Central World Mall
Christmas display at Central Praram 9 Mall
Decorations inside the Central Praram 9 Mall!
It amazes me how many malls there are in Bangkok and they are so full of shoppers!
Sunday night fireside was a beautiful evening of music and art. The artist has done a series of paintings about the life of Christ. It was an uplifting evening. This painting is of Mary holding the baby Jesus.
This beautiful painting is the artists' depiction of Jesus rescuing Peter.
Most depictions of this story show Jesus on the water pulling Jesus up out of the water.
This one shows Jesus under the water with Peter. It really touched my heart.
Christmas display outside of Eat Am Are.
Monday - Here we are with some of our favorite Elders after a great house inspection! Elders Fife, Wood (who leaves soon to head back home), Huber, Elliott, and Redd! Elder Wood lives in the pacific NW across the river from us and tells us he will be at the airport to greet us when we get home in a year! :)
Christmas family home evening movie night! Jessica brought us some yummy chocolate pastries!
We were coated in chocolate!
Popcorn and orange juice shakes while we watched Klaus!
Tuesday - Another beautiful view of the temple!
Waiting to cross the street on my way home from an appointment.
This view of the klong never gets old!
Tuesday night - Christmas choir dress rehearsal! Sister Howard is on the left (we work together in the office) and Yie Mon (Elder Brady gave her a blessing last week).
Elder and Sister Brady
Elder Brady singing a beautiful solo with Sydney and Jessica. This song is song to the tune of Shrek's Hallelujah - but it is all about the baby Jesus and so beautiful!
More singing!
Wednesday night - Time for another Christmas movie! 'Tis the Season!
Thursday - Scrumptious Thai food lunch with Elders Parker and Muir after a house inspection!
This is the train station that is behind our apartment. This part of the building was built to be an extension of the airport - but it never got used that way! It is a giant area - completely empty!
It's like a ghost town! It would make a great movie set!
Friday - On our way home from the post office, Elder Brady stopped to watch a basketball game!
We go to the post office at the nearby University. These are students playing.
When we arrived back home,
we saw these wonderful members from India taking pictures outside of the temple.
Friday lunch at Eat Am Are! The Stennetts are in town. They serve up in northern Thailand helping the missionaries and members in that area. Sister Stennett is also our mission nurse. And they are from Kauai! The Howards (the two in the front) work with us in the office! It was so great to see the Stennetts and to enjoy a meal with them and the Howards.

Senior Missionaries and Missions are awesome!

We love you all! Thanks for reading!
