Letter 45 - Happy Thanksgiving

Dear loved ones,

Happy Thanksgiving from Thailand. In short, we will be spending the day with 30 plus young returned missionaries from all over Asia at the RMRT seminar. These young adults are from Malaysia, Indonesia, China, Thailand, India, and Pakistan. We will be attending workshops (I will be teaching one), the temple, and a dinner cruise with them. While we will be missing our favorite holiday foods (turkey, potatoes and pumpkin pie) we will be filled with gratitude and thanksgiving for this amazing opportunity we have to serve as missionaries here in beautiful Thailand. And we will be getting plenty of yummy Thai food, so all is well here!

The next several days will be jampacked and I thought it would be good to send out a blog post early!

The past few days have also been busy, so I will get right to the pictures!

We love you and miss you and pray you enjoy your holiday eating yummy foods, spending time with loved ones, and counting your blessings.

Love Elder and Sister Brady (mom and dad, grandma and grandpa, John and Shelly, and so on)

Saturday in Bangkok! Have you seen bluer skies!? We are waiting by the curb for the pizza to be delivered for Zone Conference lunch!
Look at the beautiful nativity in front of the temple!
Beautiful plants and greenery have been placed around it!
Earlier in the day, we had Zone Conference breakfast! Everyone is in line to dish up!
We are enjoying our breakfast with Elder Fife (taking the selfie) and our Rayong Elders Westcott, Morgan, and Sevilla! And Elder Rurale is at the end of the table! Oh and there is Elder Jones too!
Sister Howard and me! The master French toast makers!
Beautiful French Toast!
Eggs Scrambled by Elder Brady - made with love! I cracked 130 eggs on Friday in preparation for the French Toast and eggs!
Sisters Siri and Pathoumma have their breakfast all dished up!
Bangkok Sisters pose for a picture!
Sisters Brooks, Sanford, Jenkins, Pathoumma, Siri, and Brady!
Elder Westcott takes the photo for us! Notice the sisters are all wearing their Thai skirts!
Sister Brady wearing the Armor of God!
"Shield of faith, breastplate of righteousness, sword of the spirit!"
These were passed out at zone conference!
Elder Brady! We like how young we look :)!
Bangkok Zone!
After Zone Conference, we took a walk to the store and I loved seeing Christmas decorations out!
We stopped at Villa Market (this it the store where you can buy foods from the USA) and they were handing out samples! Cheetos!! Yum!! We might have bought some.
This was a cool "Christmas Tree" outside of the Emsphere Mall!
Christmas lights inside the mall!
Waiting for the elevator to go up to IKEA at the Emsphere mall. More Christmas!
Made it to Ikea to buy some frozen meatballs, mashed potatoes, and lingonberry sauce!
And Swedish chocolate! haha! That will be our Holiday Dinner (at some point).
Monday at the post office!
Weather news flash! The "cool" season has arrived! The weather is actually beautiful! And we can't believe it will be in the 60s in the morning. It is really comfortable these days. We can actually walk to the post office and not be drenched in sweat by the time we arrive!
Monday night - time for another Christmas movie!
Jess, our choir director, joined us again for Christmas movie night!
Our favorite Christmas movie! Haha!
Tuesday - cleaners cleaning the outside of the temple and the annex!
Tuesday night at choir practice!
Wednesday morning. Today the RMRT seminar begins. We started the morning off with two patriarchal blessings. This is Srivasavi from India. She is such a lovely girl. It was wonderful to meet her.
This is Jacob, also from India. He is a nice young man with a great sense of humor.
Elder Brady with some of the returned missionaries at lunchtime! Peter is having an ice cream sandwich! Elder Brady gave a blessing to Peter's parents a month or so ago!
Elder Brady decided to try the Ice Cream Sandwich too! It went really well with his Salad!
By the way, we don't eat salad as often as we would like to in Thailand, so this was a nice treat!
It was delicious!

Well, I am off for my morning walk - today will be filled with an opening devotional, workshops, time in the temple, and a dinner cruise! I will post those pictures next week!

We love and miss you and hope you enjoy your thanksgiving!

We are grateful for so many blessings: this time in Thailand, our health, the gospel of Jesus Christ, our dear family, and wonderful friends like you!
