Dear family and friends,
Happy 9 month mission anniversary to us! We can't believe it is the middle of October for us here! We have been busy with missionary house inspections, and a little sight seeing on the weekend! And of course, we have all of our other office duties! I will let the pictures tell the story!
Thank you for your prayers and kind words! We love and miss you.
Love,
Elder and Sister Brady (Mom and Dad, Grandpa and Grandma, John and Shelly, and so on)
We kicked the week off with a house inspection at the APs (assistants to the Presidents). This is Elder Bird and Elder Elliot! We love visiting with these great Elders. Someone asked how often we do house inspections. Well, let me tell you! We do them once a transfer. That is once approximately every 6 weeks. Sometimes we go to lunch with the missionaries and sometimes we bring them a treat. We had a busy day on Monday, so we just offered them goodies from our treat bag!
On our way back to the overhead train, we walk past the motorcycle parking lot!
Motorcycles and mass transportation are the affordable way to travel in Thailand!
It's always fun to Facetime with our kids! Young missionaries get to talk to their family once a week on their mission Pdays (preparation days). Senior missionaries can talk to their family anytime any day!
It's great! Here we are talking to our son Kevin! It still amazes me that we can connect with our family on the other side of the globe! Technology is such a blessing!
Walking home from the subway, this gorgeous sunset caught my eye.
Our beautiful Sisters Pathoumma, Furlan, Polsan, and Faux, and office Elder Collado, along with the Belnaps and Bradys. The Sisters had to go to immigration on Wednesday.
Those smiling faces have been up for more than 24 hours!
They have to travel through the night to Bangkok to get their visas renewed.
House inspection with Elder Tang and Elder Parker on Thursday!
(Well deserved treats for the missionaries this time!)
We walked past this shrine on our way to the bus. Zoom in to see lunch offerings.
This fancy mall has an upscale KFC!
Elder Brady standing next to his 4th cousin! We like to use the family tree app and see if we are related to the missionaries! I love how many cousins we have discovered! Turns out Elder Brady and I are 10th cousins . . . so . . . we give true meaning to kissin' cousins!
Great job cleaning Elder Olson and Elder Kaiyafai! Elder Kaiyafai will be heading to London soon for his the remainder of his mission. He is from Thailand and has been serving here until his Visa was approved! And Elder Olson heads home in 3 weeks after serving for 2 years in Thailand!
Treats for these great missionaries!
Ice cream at Mixue with Belle and Ratmaet!
We met Belle at the Returned Missionary conference last month.
And Ratmaet was one or our missionaries who finished his mission, but actually lives in Thailand.
Elder and Sister Brady enjoying their ice cream!
Friday we had a great inspection visit with Elders Propromma and Fife! Elder Fife used to be with us down in Rayong! Then he served upcountry for a couple of transfers.
We are so glad to have him back in Bangkok.
Chocolate cake at Eat Am Are!
Look who we ran into at the Mall! We grabbed lunch with the Elders and the Sisters were next door at McDonalds! It's a small world in Bangkok! Sisters Lundberg, Siri, and Sanford. And Elders Htoo, Tupou, Fife, Propromma, and Phokk.

Walking to the Bangna House!
Riding the super crowded Subway home.
Someone dropped off a yummy Thai Treat. This coconut and I am not sure what delight has sweet corn decorating the outside! It was delicious!
Last weekend we visited Central Park Bangkok! This is a rooftop park across the street from Lumphini Park. This is the view of Lumphini Park and the Bangkok Skyline.
This is the Dusit Thani Hotel. John ate a meal at this hotel back when he was on his mission in 1978. This Hotel opened in 1970 and was Thailand's tallest building at the time.
This beautiful rooftop park is located at the Dusit Central Park Shopping Centre
and opened on September 4, 2025!
Hello Bangkok! This park is on three different stories of the shopping mall.
I love this view of the lake in Lumphin Park from Rooftop Central Park!
We made another trip to Ikea for Meatballs!
This is a view of Ikea and Benchasari Park next to it from the train station.
Halloween decorations set up on the train overhead walkway.
The crosswalk we take to get back home!
We attempted to take a walk around Lumphini park but the rains came down!
This is the Subway entrance. We keep forgetting it is the rainy season!
Statue at Lumphini Park!
More Rain! We will try to take a walk at the park another day.
The rain reminds of Oregon, but it is still hot and muggy outside here in Thailand!
Thursday evening, Sister Belnap messaged me and said there was some kind of crazy lightening storm going on in the East!
